Come to Neuhausen Castle in Srpska Crnja and find out why visitors stay surprised as soon as they step in. Not just is the building luxurious with high-quality carpentry, rose marble stairs, wrought iron, and stylish furniture, but the story of its owner is also interesting.
The 1943 castle was built by Franz Neuhausen, a Reich representative for agriculture in Serbia during the WWII occupation (who later collaborated with Yugoslavia authorities), who didn’t spare when it came to his hunting mansion. It was designed in an eclectic style with elements of classicism and Baroque. Make sure to notice animal figures within wrouth iron fences.
Come here and learn how Neuhausen quickly became rich and thus was investigated by the Nazis, and which decorations he spent his fortune on.
