SWIMMERS ALL OVER THE CITY

The thing you should include in your itinerary in June is the European Aquatics Championship which is going to be held in Belgrade for the first time. Since mid-June Serbian capital will host some of your favorite divers, swimmers, and water polo players.

The championship will be organized in several sports centers in the city. Come to admire incredible athletes’ moves while jumping in the swimming pool in Košutnjak without splashing almost any water out or the great water polo teams that will gather at the 11 April center.

Bring your kids to Dorćol to see how to properly (and fast) swim front crawl and then keep taking them for a few days to Ada Ciganlija also known as the Belgrade’s Sea where a championship in open water swimming will be held.

Belgrade will host teams from 40 countries. For some, this will be the last chance to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris, and will thus remember Serbia as a good starting point.

A sport that you maybe didn’t have a chance to see in person thus far is also coming to local swimming pools. When children attend artistic swimming performances for the first time and see elegant swimmers gliding through the water, they will most certainly start wishing to get involved. Serbian artistic swimmers team announced that their Belgrade performance will be their Olympics. That is another reason to cheer for them at the championship!
