For socializing, rest, evoking memories and creating new ones. Trumpets are calling for another gathering in Guča this August. The best impressions of the biggest trumpet festival in the world were written by millions of visitors over the past six decades, amazing hosts, top performers and an indescribable atmosphere.
From 5 to 7 August, people will wake up, walk, fall in love, celebrate, and fall asleep to the sound of trumpet. It will be an opportunity to remind ourselves of how the Assembly was created, how it has changed over the decades and to see what kind of welcome it has prepared this August.
Traditionally, a joint performance of the assembly’s hymn ‘‘Sa Ovčara i Kablara‘‘ (from Ovčar and Kablar mountains) will mark the opening of the festival.
With the sounds of trumpets, guests of this small town in western Serbia will be able to get acquainted with the traditions of Dragačevo, such as songs, dances, costumes and customs. In this rhythm and atmosphere, they will enjoy the specialties for which western Serbia is widely known. And if they need rest and silence, they will easily find it in the astonishing nature that surrounds this region.
This year, both the organizers and the participants, among whom are the best trumpeters of our country, have the opportunity to defend the status of the trumpet capital. Everyone else will enjoy the unique pleasure that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world for a reason.
Welcome to Guča! The 61st Dragačevo Trumpet Festival begins.
