Again this May, Belgrade has the opportunity to show that it is a sports metropolis, as well as the capital of hospitality, entertainment and numerous attractions that visitors of the EuroLeague Final Four basketball championship will be able to experience.

Belgrade has already shown itself in the best light four years ago on the same occasion. The way it hosted fans and athletes from all over the world set an example and inspired destinations with ideal conditions for the preparation and accommodation of both and recreational top athletes. Due to the altitude, geographical position, climate, but also entertainment, Zlatibor mountain took the leading role.

In the past years, Silver Lake, Vrnjačka Banja Spa, Kopaonik mountain, Banja KoviljačaSpa, Novi Bečej enhanced their potentials.

Following examples from the world, but also from the immediate environment, many tourist organizations have recognized sports and recreational tourism as an extremely important branch of the industry. In addition to the construction and modernization of sports fields, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, accompanying facilities have been improved to enable family experience at the destination with athletes.

And as sport changes, adapts to circumstances, as the Olympic Games occasionally listen to trends, so every destination has to hear and see the growing need for recreation and sports and recognize that these activities are becoming an integral part of the holiday. Fortunately, the number of such destinations in Serbia has been increasing.
