The untouched nature of eastern Serbia has received the status it has deserved a long time ago. Stara planina (Old mountain) and the Kucaj-Beljanica mountain range were declared national parks. This means that in the future they will be under the highest level of state protection.
Nature lovers, adventurers, mountaineers, skiers know why they keep returning to Stara planina mountain. Those who have not discovered it, will now have the opportunity to visit the newest national park with an area of 116,000 hectares.
