This year, International Film Festival - FEST will mark its 50th jubilee under the slogan "A New Brave World". One of the most important cultural events in Serbia will be held from February 25 to March 6 in Belgrade. It will be an opportunity for the capital to traditionally be a good host to both film fans and festival guests. For some of them, it will be a walk along the familiar trails of our capital and its rich cultural and gastronomic offer. For others, it will be the first encounter with the city at the confluence of the Sava and the Danube Rivers. For the hosts, an opportunity to present their city as an unavoidable tourist destination for lovers of culture, adventure, festivals, history, sports and entertainment.
Half a century of FEST has recorded enviable results. Four million visitors and almost 4,000 significant world films that had a Yugoslav / Serbian, and often regional premiere.
On the occasion of the jubilee 50th edition of our festival, the Post of Serbia is preparing a collector's set of postage stamps for each decade of FEST's existence.
Belgrade Winner Awards for outstanding contribution to film art will be given to our prominent filmmakers - director Emir Kusturica and actor Predrag Miki Manojlovic. Although it is not awarded, Belgrade certainly deserves the prize for hosting such a successful and long-lasting event.
