The tourist offer is increasingly adapted to those who take pets on the road. World statistics show that more than half of dog owners do not travel without them. The expectations of these tourists must be taken into account by caterers and tourist organizations if they want to build a successful business and be good hosts.

If there is a paradise for travellers looking for pet-friendly destinations then it is Europe. In Germany, Italy, Austria and France, more than 40 per cent of hotels accept pets. And their owners are willing to pay for extra accommodation and facilities that welcome pets.

While caterers in Serbia are increasingly recognizing this need, no pets are allowed in museums and cultural institutions.

Observing how it is done in the world, but also listening to the requests of its guests, the Tourist Organization of Zlatibor has expanded the offer of facilities where pets are also welcome.
