TRY WILD CAVING

Summer is a great season to escape high temperatures by going - underground. Not only are the numerous settled caves in Serbia at your disposal but there are also those representing a certain challenge for the brave ones who would rather immerse in an unusual adventure.

Did you know that you can try wild caving in Serbia? The tours taking you to somewhat wild visits to places not seen by everyone will be a treat this July that will make you proud. You will also learn about speleology which is a plus.

Not many people know that a pretty canyon in southeastern Serbia holds the Samar Cave abundant in whirls, cascades, stalactites, and stalagmites where you can squeeze through large and small canals.

Cerjanska Cave which is also protected by the state, has a special property. This is the place to see helictites, the cave decoration that defies the laws of physics and gravity.

If you are interested in another network of canals with four colonies of bets and traces of a cave bear, head to Popšička Cave. A little more to the north nearby Bor you can see another cave called Vernjikica, especially if you are interested in what the largest preserved Balkan jungle looks like.
