Great river parties await you in Serbia this July. Not just any parties but the whole regattas bringing good mood, popular performers, and a fun sail.

Veliki Spust which gathers a few thousand people along with trumpet players and barbecues on the shore welcomes you in the foothill of the medieval fortress Maglič. You will sail along curvy Ibar for 25 kilometers while the festival is proud to host an array of rafts made of wood, polystyrene, bottles, or tires.

If you go to the famous Drina Regatta, one of the most visited in the region, you will find out why it takes place in Bajina Bašta. Did you know that rafts with building materials were transported from here all the way to Belgrade? What was once a need to do business and earn money, has become a lively festival today with concerts and fish stew cooking competitions.

There is another regatta on Drina River – the one that takes off in Rogačica and finishes in Ljubovija. The sail that lasts for nine hours will treat you to a great ambiance and good atmosphere. Trumpet sounds are not to be missed here as well and you will have a lunch break at the Trešnjevica confluence.
