SWIMMING IN SERBIAN LAKES

Serbia doesn’t have a seaside but is abundant in water and you can thus choose where to cool down this summer. This time we are taking you to Srebreno Lake, Bela Crkva, and Perućac in the foothill of Tara.

The Silver lake popular due to its beaches and clear water is situated near Veliko Gradište. Tucked-in coastal villas surrounded by greenery add to the charm. Parents love to bring kids to the local aqua park. If you are spending a part of your summer holiday here, make sure to have time to visit the surrounding area given how the famous Golubac Fortress is located only half an hour away.

Bela Crkva proudly hosts six lakes and has welcomed guests with the most peculiar tastes for years. The place where one can jog along the coast or go scuba diving will thrill you with its peaceful and relaxed atmosphere even though it is situated only about 90 kilometers from Belgrade.

Perućac Lake is yet another treat. Where else can you try stand-up-paddling almost at the entrance of the third deepest river canyon in the world? Swim at the lake during the daytime and enjoy the somewhat cooler nights in the National Park.
