Project results and the publication titled „ALONG THE PATHS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH: Discovering the region, Child and youth educational tourism for the Development of the Adriatic-Ionian region: Situation and best practices from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy“ were presented at the conference.
During the past 10 months, the project connected four countries (Serbia, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia) in the area of child and youth educational tourism and served as a platform for exchange of knowledge and practices among partners and among service providers, and eventually spawned a publication that provides an overview of the field in all four countries and will serve not only as a guide, but also as an important information resource and stimulus for further similar initiatives.
Special importance was given to the institutional and regional networking, not only in tourism and education, but the overall development which the project contributes.
The project was implemented by the National Tourism Organization of Serbia with partners HF Group of Eco-Ethno Croatia, Compass - Novo Mesto from Slovenia, LAG-Bassa Padovana from Italy, the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), Friends of Children of Serbia, Educational Tourism Cluster Serbia and Danube Competence Center, and by the donation of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.
