Institute for Territorial Economic Development (InTER) is launching the regional project " Mokra Gora Mountain - Undiscovered Pearl on the Via Dinarica Trail", which will gather representatives of municipalities, local tourist organisations, hiking and sports clubs, tourist agencies and non-governmental organizations from municipalities that share this mountain: Rozaje, Pec, Istok, Zubin Potok and Tutin, in order to work together on tourism development and the promotion of Mokra Gora mountain as a unique tourist destination that provides attractive content for active holidays.
The project will last until the end of May next year and it is financed from a grant awarded within the Tourism Development and Promotion Project financed by the European Union and implemented by the Regional Cooperation Council.
In cooperation with the partners from these municipalities, InTER will work on the establishment of a new route of the Via Dinarica hiking trail from Prokletije and Hajla across Mokra Gora to the top of Berim, its most eastern part.
In addition, the project will support the creation and promotion of tourism products, which will represent a unique multicultural experience in the beautiful natural setting of Mokra Gora mountain, also known as the "Beauty of the Balkans".
A significant part of the project will be related to the establishment of cooperation between local communities, which will contribute to overall economic development and regional cooperation in this part of the Balkans.
