Temple of Saint Sava

Temple of Saint Sava, 20–21st century, is the largest Orthodox church in the Balkans. It was built in the place where, according to tradition, the relics of Saint Sava, a Serbian 13th-century saint and founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church, were burned during the Turkish rule. An impressive mosaic of almost 15,000 square metres adorns the interior of this monumental building, making it one of the must-see religious buildings in Belgrade.
