Did you know that Banja was named after the fishermen (Ribari meaning fishermen) who used to catch trout for Prince Lazar? Princess Milica was also believed to have been visiting and using the water in her beauty care.

Find out how even Ancient Romans benefited from this water and where Ottomans built a bath for nurturing body and soul centuries later. The first to send the Ribarska Banja’s water sample to be tested in Vienna was Prince Miloš, and King Aleksandar used to come for a vacation. It now offers modern treatments and the same generous spring still sharing its healing properties.
