Vrnjačka Banja has 7 springs of healing water, so there are 7 symbolic pillars at the roundabout at the entrance to the spa.
The first sign that you have reached the most visited spa resort in Serbia will be the 7 pillars at the roundabout at the entrance to Vrnjačka Banja, which represent the 7 mineral springs. The journey to enjoying the benefits of these wellness and spa centres since Roman times with body temperature medicinal springs will not be long, because this spa has numerous pools and more than 15,000 beds, of which almost a third are in hotels and apartments.
Everyone will find something for themselves whether you are here for relaxation, massage, swimming or treatment. The medicinal water also helps with diseases of the gall bladder, liver, kidney stones and diabetes.
Love, greenery and sweets can be found in the main park. Among the 12 bridges on the Vrnjačka river, the biggest crowd is found on the Bridge of Love, where in memory of a sad emotional love story from the First World War between the officer Relja and the teacher Nada, girls symbolically protect their love by locking the padlock. Padlocks can be bought at a nearby stand and the key is thrown into the river over one’s shoulder.

On the small river that flows through the park, there are no less than 12 bridges, the most frequented of which is the Bridge of Love, where padlocks are left.
As you pass by the hazel and pine trees, you will notice homemade biscuits, teas, dumplings and crackers, as well as sweet drinks that our grandparents drank, usually red.
With a bottle of klaker with a straw in hand, on foot or in a cart, you will reach a part of the park that exudes the spirit of Japan and where you can relax by the waterfall, on a bench or in a tea house.
Have you ever got lost among conifers? An unusual labyrinth houses 440 trees, between which you need to find the right path. Children love to search for the exit by running through the 1 km long green corridors, while adults increase their adrenaline in the Adventure Centre by shooting arrows at targets.
In Vrnjačka Banja, you will be greeted by Gočko, a cute sparrow dressed in a folk costume. This was the mascot of the Games without Borders held here in 1990, and a photo with it goes without saying.
With Lycider hearts in your hands, a symbol of this spa and a sign of love, you should come to the Vrnjačka Carnival in July, when 200,000 people indulge in the magic of masquerade balls, dances and costumes in the colours of the whole world.
