On the triple border of Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria, bordered by the mighty Danube on one side and high mountain massifs on the other, the Negotin Region has preserved its unique wine character over the centuries. Its identity is not only special because of the varieties that can only be found in Krajina, such as Bagrina and Začinak, nor because of the outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon or Gamay wines, but also because of Rajačke, Rogljevačke and Smedovačke pivnice, a unique complex of wine cellars that make up true villages, the only ones of their kind in the whole world.

Winding alleys and buildings with breathtaking architecture, peace, nature and the luxurious smell of authentic wines will make you come back to this area again and again.
These extremely impressive complexes of traditional wine cellars were built from the mid-19th century to the 1930s. The partially buried cellars were built from wood and hewn stone and gathered into streets connected by squares. These really small wine villages exclusively made and stored wine. Today, these wine cellars, the largest and most famous of which are Rajačke, are a real tourist attraction. Winding alleys and buildings with breathtaking architecture, peace, nature and the luxurious smell of authentic wines will make you come back to this area again and again.
